The ability to see beyond the ordinary or mundane is what interests me most. By presenting the common or mundane as mysterious or unusual, I hope to provoke the viewer to rediscover the world around him or her.  My work is based on real objects and environments that are manipulated either by enlarging, shrinking or cropping as a means to rip them out of their ordinary context and present them within a new one.

Everything about my work has something to do with transitory states; the fruit are decaying,  the paper burning, the sink draining . . . everything passing.  Decay in this form is not ugly or vulgar per se; rather, it is sensual, colorful, mysterious and surreal. Using science fiction as a visual and conceptual resource, and epistemology as a cognitive base, aids in my exploration into the farthest territories of human understanding within a physical, artmaking context.
